SOUND PLANNING!

This is the song that we will be playing as it is a creepy sounding nursery rhyme which relates to the little girl as she is young but it's also in keeping with the themes of horror. The story behind this is that it was the song that the little girls mother sang to her all the time before she died and now that song haunts her.

We chose this because it's creepy and also because, like I said, it links to the little girl being young as its a nursery rhyme, but also because the lyrics link well to the little girl's character and her past as it all repeats itself over and over again...

"The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout,

down came the rain and washed the spider out,

out came the sun and dried up all the rain,

and the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again."

The spider is like the antagonist of the story as he hunts down the little girl. He slaughters her yet again. The rain is like her blood. When the sun comes out, the antagonist leaves and the little girl meets her friend but then the spider comes back at the end.
